In the year 1990, Md. Abul Hossain, Managing Director of AB Group of Industries, formed his industrial career with a toy factory, the first of its kind in Bangladesh. With his past experience in importing various goods, he gathered a vast knowledge of the market and could foresee trends in the plastic industry.

He never stepped back from being the path leader, exploring new horizons and overcoming new challenges, resulting in the establishment of the first EVA and PVC footwear industry, the country’s first Spunbond and Spunlace fabric industry, stepping into the country’s hygiene industry with the first baby and adult diaper factory which is currently the largest manufacturing line with the highest market share in Bangladesh.

Md. Abul Hossain deliberately ensured investments in residential, commercial, and industrial properties from the very beginning which now has become a tremendous empire for the family-run business.

The next generation strives to grow AB Group of Industries through modernization and hard work and has already established Bangladesh’s first sports industry, automobile business and eCommerce.

AB Group of Industries currently aims to diversify through vertical integration in the spinning and hygiene industries, inaugurating petrochemical projects, hoping to exponentially increase Bangladesh’s exports and reduce importing of raw materials.
