Engineer S.M. Shaheedullah, Managing Director of Shaheedullah and New Associates Ltd (SNAL), started his professional Consulting Engineer career in 1964 as a founder partner of Messrs VASTUKALABID (VKB), Farhat Manzil, Paribag, Dhaka, a renowned Consulting Firm of Architects and Engineers. After about six years, Mr. Shaheedullah dissociated from VKB in July 1970 and established a new firm under Messrs Shaheedullah and Associates Ltd (SAL). August 1998 on account of ethical reasons Engr. SM Shaheedullah decided to dissociate from Messrs Shaheedullah and Associates Ltd (SAL) and established a new firm under Messrs Shaheedullah and New Associates Limited (SNAL). The board of Directors of the Company comprises five members, Engr. S.M. Shaheedullah as Managing Director. Other Directors are Dr. Kazi Harun-ur-Rashid, formerly principal of Rajshahi Engineering College, Rajshahi and one of the Directors of Shaheedullah and Associates Ltd. and three other senior engineers of Shaheedullah and Associates Ltd. Many engineers, quantity surveyors and other experts of Messrs Shaheedullah and Associates Ltd. (SAL) switched their services to the new firm.

The firm Messrs Shaheedullah and New Associates Ltd. has proved its worth to its Clients by providing prompt, competent and faithful professional services, and the volume of work swelled rapidly.

It may be pointed out that the firm has its own Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Section from the beginning for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services. We are thus equipped to extend the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services in-home.

The firm is capable of undertaking a complete and comprehensive range of Consulting Engineering Services in different sectors, notably, Strengthening of Foundation and Superstructure of existing buildings, Transmission towers and Communication Tower including Foundation, Electrical Sub-Station including equipment Foundation, Strengthening the existing tower, Stabilization of existing tower foundation, Industrial, Commercial and Residential buildings, Educational Institutions and Hospital Complex etc.

It has all in-house facilities, such as computers and Software, ammonia printing machines, photocopiers, survey equipment, a testing laboratory, etc. It has a most resourceful library, which has many books on different engineering and architectural subjects.

The organization is managed by a Board of Directors and renders services by highly experienced senior engineers, architects and planners. The Board of Directors is headed by Engineer S.M. Shaheedullah, Managing Director, the topmost renowned civil engineer in the country, having vast professional knowledge in most complicated design, project management and monitoring. He is assisted by several qualified architects and engineers who look after different projects. Besides, many sub-ordinate technical and managerial personnel viz, quantity surveyor, surveyor, draftsman, administrators and accountants play their roles efficiently and promptly.
