GAZI WIRES LIMITED (GWL), an ebterprise of BANGLADESH STEEL & ENGINNRING CORPORATION, Ministry of Industries, Government of Bangladesh is the pioneer and the biggest manufacturer of Enamelled Round Copper Winding Wire(ex-name was Super Enamelled Coper Wires) in Bangladesh. It was established in the year 1965 in the private sector with technical collaboration of the world renowned ``THE FURUKAWA ELECTRIC COMPANY'' TOKYO, JAPAN. In July 1972, PO-27 it came into the fold of BESC (Bangladesh Engg. & Ship Building Corporation) and Subsequently under BSEC (Bangladesh Steel & Engineering Corporation), Ministry of Industries, Government of Bangladesh. It produces Super Enamelled Coper Wires from SWG 12 to 46, Annealed Copper Wires from SWG 10 to 46 and Hard Drawn Bare Copper Wire of size SWG 1 to 46. GWL obtained BSTI certificate in 1979 and ISO 9001 certficate in 2002.
